Hello my friends, how have you been this week? Have you been busy creating and playing? I know you have, I know some of you have tried playing with paint sticks and loved it – this is what makes me feel so excited! And really proud of you! But today I have something different for you – a quick and easy card design that you are going to love! I Know I do – it’s very pretty and can be used on any kind of card you want.
Isn’t it a lovely set of cards for Mother’s Day? Keep reading to learn more and watch my video.
One border cutting die
That’s right! It’s all it takes really to make this – one cutting die – to make this quick and easy card design. You may decorate it in any way you want. You may use any colours and patterns that I like. And you can use it for any occasion. I used this quick and easy card design to create Mother’s Day cards. It was so quick that I made six of them. Luckily, I remembered to switch on the recording before I finished and made a video to show you (LOL, still getting used to recording my crafting sessions!).

Ridiculously easy? YES!
It is ridiculously easy to make. Here, have a look for yourself:
See, how much a little difference in decoration or colour choice can change? The paper texture can also be an interesting aspect to have a play with. I’ll show you more details in a moment.
But first, I’d like to show you what I used for this project. I used some papers I have had for ages – I decided to get to that pie and work it through a bit before I get to buy another paper pad because it’s irresistible, hahaha. I can’t remember what pad it was exactly but to be honest – you can use any patterned paper you want depending on the occasion and colours you choose for your project.
The border cutting die I used is one that comes in a set with another lovely die and it’s among my favourites – it’s perfect for so many designs! I definitely recommend this one:
For that gorgeous sparkle on the flowers, I used the Wink of Stella clear glitter brush (here’s a set of 3 in silver, gold and clear for a great price):
Here are some more pictures, a few close-ups so that you can see how lovely this dimensional design looks with a few different arrangements. Enjoy 🙂
